MEMBER OF THE BOARD:
We are pleased to inform the members of The Board of Directors of the literary & Arts Foundation as follows:
Your foundation as of August 1st, 2009 has provided 4876 institutions with books. The partial distribution of up to twenty (20) cartons of books was distributed to schools, libraries, literacy organizations and other institutions including prisons throughout The United States. The demand for books has been most extraordinary. The computer has apparently not yet completely replaced books as a reading source. Our only regret is that we are, for lack of adequate funds in our budget, unable to provide the full complement of books requested in a single shipment. We have every expectation of fulfilling all requests as our budget permits. Shipments will and are presently continuing as our budget allows.
It is required that your foundation is the largest purveyor of free books to needy organizations in the country.
Our work continues on behalf of the El-Dan Forum for Cultural Activity in the Daniela Passal Gallery at Mohonk Arts. The Gallery presentations have hosted as many as 700 people on opening nights. Critics have lauded the work presented which included amongst others, art of the late Allen Epstein.
Our concentration has been to a great extent directed towards assisting young artists, not alone via our Art Incubator but by presenting their work to the public as well. The praise we have received from the critics is a cause for pride.
